A FUN PLACE FOR PETS AND THEIR HUMANS
Well if you remember a few posts back, I had explained how humans totally misunderstood dog behavior as it relates to the arrival of groceries into their home. Anyhow, the events of today just reinforced that fact. Today was grocery day and my human dad was busy putting away the perishables into the refrigerator. The grocery bags were on the kitchen floor. I was diligently sniffing and examining the groceries for any signs that the food they had bought had gone bad. As it turns out, I was suspicious of one of the pork chops in a multipack of 9 chops. Doing my duty, I carefully opened the pack and removed the pork chop in question. Taking my own life into my paws, I sniffed and licked that pork chop to ensure its freshness. However, when my humans saw what I was doing they totally misinterpreted the situation and thought I had taken the pork chop to eat. Instead of praise, I received a torrent of “bad dog” and was banned from the kitchen. Oh the unfairness of the incident. Next time they can just go ahead and eat the pork chops without my careful inspection.
